At Stones of Zion, we pursue intimacy with God. We are a Holy Spirit Filled, full-gospel church and homesteading community focused on gathering the Body of Christ and responding to God’s instructions wisely in this hour of history (His Story) We believe that sustainable living with fellow believers is the best answer to the growing volatility we see in the country, culture, and world stage as we see Bible Prophecy in the headlines every day. Insulation from a corrupt society is defined as “true religion” in the Book of James and we are modeling our community after the early church who pooled possessions, wealth, and set themselves apart from the culture of their day. Acts 2 Living
Using the first-century church as our model, we have acquired a large homesteading property in Eastern Tennessee, which we are developing into a fully self-sufficient community. As world stability and culture decline, we feel like the Body of Christ is better served in a secure homesteading environment, rather than a large building on Main Street USA. We invite all Believers to join us in our effort! If you wish to partner in larger ways, we need help to build out the Kingdom and have open opportunities to direct this mission as well.
Full Time Discipleship
We believe that life in Christ is 24/7 and that all we do together and individually is best served growing the Kingdom of God. Through our community effort, we do life together in a manner that is inclusive of every facet of our walk including family life, hard work, helping each other, breaking bread, and our worship and praise. A rising tide raises all ships.
What We believe
We believe in the transformative power of faith in Jesus Christ, the authority of scripture, and the continued relationship of God and man through the indwelling Power of The Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus is coming soon. We believe we must be ready for Him with contrite hearts and we will face many trials before He comes as outlined in scripture.
Ministry
We have seen The Lord move powerfully in the sacraments of the Faith outlined in the whole council of God’s Word. We apply the sacraments of Baptism, confession, healing, deliverance, preaching of The Word, forgiveness, Baptism of the Holy Spirit, and all the wonder working acts of life in Christ.
Peace and Security
“Blessed are the peacemakers…” We believe that fomenting antagonistic contention only fans the flames of hatred and suffering. That said, we believe that virtue and our families are worth defending. Being a peacemaker does not mean submitting to evil. In order to maintain security and freedom, households are encouraged to keep the tools and capabilities they deem necessary to defend themselves.
Homesteading is at the heart of our faith and community life, emphasizing self-sufficiency and trust in God’s provision. We are building a Christian Homesteading Community for the preservation and protection of God’s people in years to come. We envision an “Acts 2:44-47” type of gathering. This has been incorporated into a cooperative effort in which physical and spiritual needs are met in a more complete approach to Christian discipleship and living.
